Pizzette, a New Destination for Pizza and Drinks, Opens in East Williamsburg
“Pizzette, close to the Montrose L, soft opened in early June in the former Tricolore Pizza space. Partner Trahn noticed the space was closing and Sciacca was able to buy out their lease, which dated back to 2012 (with 2012 prices) and renovations were easier because the space already had a pizza oven.Since opening, customer feedback has been good and plates are coming back empty, which is Sciacca’s truest test of quality.”
Williamsburg Now Has a Pizzeria With Dollar Oysters
“Williamsburg has gained a new organic sourdough pizza restaurant and bar called Pizzette at 191 Graham Ave., near Scholes Street. It comes from Bushwick restaurateur Steve Sciacca, who also owns French bistro Mominette and Bushwick Bakery. Lots of toppings ranging from figs and goat cheese to clams are available, as well as dollar oysters in the evening.”
North Brooklyn Restaurant round-up: Sushi on Jones, Pizzette, and more
“Steve Sciacca opened Pizzette in East Williamsburg with manager Luc Trahn as a culmination of a long time dream to open a pizza shop. Sciacca owns Bushwick’s French bistro Mominette and Bushwick Bakery. The pizza heavy menu draws from the dough work of a bakery with the day-to-day of running a restaurant. Shaka’s got Sicilian heritage and grew up with pizza, which means he takes the crust very seriously.”
“I think Pizzette might offer the best happy hour because it’s so incredibly cheap for NYC. If you want to fill up on oysters and wine any day of the week, Pizzette is surely the place to be. With $1 oysters, it’s easy to justify ordering one or two.”
